The “Team up for Energy Savings !” campaign organised in 2006, cemented EDF's commitments to help its customers reduce their energy consumption.

Over five weeks, EDF teams went to meet companies, regional authorities, individuals, students and EDF partners in ten large French cities. The objective: to provide solid information, practical advice, and the opportunities to help everyone get involved in controlling energy consumption.

Whether it was a conference or debate, a personal interview or a visit by the roving tour operations, everyone was able to get answers to their questions about the necessity to save energy and how to go about it.

By signing the tour's "commitment charter", visitors could demonstrate their own resolutions to adopt 3 simple gestures to save energy.

In total, of the 5,500 visitors, 4,165 of them joined up by signing the charter. The potential achieved economies represent the equivalent of public lighting energy consumption for a city the size of Avignon (8 million kWh)
